The Dastgahs of Persian Music
"Konsert" på Oslo Konserthus
Beskrivelse
Persian Classical Concert Presented by Niaro Art This special evening celebrates the Radif — the centuries-old collection of melodic patterns that forms the foundation of Iranian classical music. In the interpretation of the legendary master Hossein Alizadeh, the Radif is not merely preserved but brought to life, evolving through artistry while keeping its deep historical roots. For one night at Oslo Concert Hall, this living heritage will be performed by an acclaimed ensemble: Mehdi Emami – Vocal Hamed Mohsen Nezhad – Ney Saina Zamanian – Tar Hosein Neizan – Tar, Bam-Tar Hiwa Khatib – Tombak Audiences will journey through the dastgahs (modal systems) and avazes (songs) of the Iranian tradition, where music and poetry intertwine to express the full range of human emotion. These timeless forms, passed from generation to generation, reveal both the discipline of tradition and the freedom of improvisation. Join us for an evening where history, poetry, and music meet — and the heart of Iran’s musical soul resonates in Oslo. Design & inspiration: Neshat Shirazi, Pedram Vafadari
