Queer Icons & Disco Dreams Get ready to boogie, bedazzle, and become your wildest queer fantasy at Queer Icons & Disco Dreams, a night of celebration, transformation, and unapologetic joy! Sappho’s Friends and QCC are joining forces to give you a magical disco night to remember. Come dressed to impress, to express or just as your fabulous self. Costumes are highly encouraged (we love a look!), but not mandatory. Whether you arrive in rhinestones or sweatpants, you’re welcome just as you are. Where: Sentralen, Hvelvet When: 18th of October Time: 21 - 02 Costume Contest Alert! We'll be crowning the Queer Royalty of the Night, so channel your inner legend! Think: Janelle Monáe's futuristic glam Grace Jones' fierce androgyny Billy Porter's red carpet elegance David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust sparkle Princess Nokia’s witchy goddess vibes The magic of Sailor Moon with a queer twist Divine’s punk drag energy A walking disco ball – because why not? Expect a night full of wonder, including: DJs spinning disco, house & queer anthems Burlesque drag performances Tarot readings Make-up & glitter station And more surprises throughout the night! This event is a celebration of queer women, non-binary folks, and trans people of all genders. Please show up with love, respect, and a commitment to keeping the space safe and joyful for everyone. Come dance, dream and serve looks under the disco lights – let’s make this a night to remember.
