A visually, personal and playful take on masculinity "Masculinity in Question" is a solo drag performance that investigates masculinity as a concept. Can women be masculine? Is masculinity a human made concept? Are all men toxic? The performance is the culmination of Katinka Steensgaards (Elektra Puzzz) work with her master thesis in theatre, where she explored masculinity through drag. About the performer Katinka Steensgaard (Elektra Puzzz in drag) has worked with drag as an artform since 2013, and is a lecturer within drama and theatre. She is also a pedagogue, producer, and headmistress at her own school for drag, Oslo Dragskole. Further mentions are her being one of the producers of Open Drag Stage, a member of Princessilicious drag collective, producer of BOIS NIGHT and founder of Bois Workzone. Masculinity in Question has previously toured in DKS in Troms Norway for youths, and played at SALT in 2024. Masculinity in Question was written in 2022 as a part of Steensgaards master thesis about dragkinging and masculinity. The performance won "Students choice" in Troms, and has received funding from Scenekunstbruket to create a touring version.
