Join a guided tour and experience a unique side of the National Theatre! Discover our workshops, stages and historical, cultural heritage locations like the Royal lounge and the actors lounge.  Our guides will take you on a fascinating tour of the National Theatre, bringing the space to life with colourful stories from when the theatre was built in 1899 and how artists and playwrites like Henrik Ibsen and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson influenced the theatre, and even the society. Welcome! The theatre has limited access to elevators etc. Please let us know if you need assistance of any kind, by e-mailing omvisning@nationaltheatret.no . If any of the public tours are not suitable, you can book a private tour for NOK 2000. Any events or rehearsals will have to be taken into account when planning a private tour. Please email us, and we will make necessary arrangements.
